LUZOVICH, Dorothy Ann [Rapsilber]
Dorothy Ann [Rapsilber] Luzovich was born on March 13th 1922 to William R. & Lois P. [Hyrg] Rapsilber in St. Louis County, Minnesota. She married Jack Mark Luzovich before enlisting for service. He would enlist for service himself.
Ms. Luzovich was enlisted for military service on April 21st 1943 during WWII. She was inducted into the U.S. Army (WAAC) on August 12th 1943 in Hartford, Connecticut.
She was a clerk in the 1341st Service Command Unit during WWII. She rose to the rank of Sergeant (SGT).
SGT Luzovich earned the following merits for her service:
- Good Conduct Medal,
- WAAC Service Medal,
- American Campaign Medal, -and-
- World War II Victory Medal.
She was honorably discharged on January 17th 1946 at Fort Dix, New Jersey. After the war she returned home home to her husband and they started a family.
Ms. Luzovich died on December 16th 1986 at 64 years of age in Virginia, Minnesota. She is buried at Gilbert Cemetery in Gilbert, Minnesota.
