Wymer M. Himango of Biwabik, Minnesota, was inducted into the Army on May 2, 1942 at Fort Snelling, Minn.

He served as a Technician 5th Grade in Company D of the 347th Engineer Battalion in Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Central Europe.

Mr. Himango was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal with four bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal and six overseas service bars.

He was discharged September 24, 1945 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
