Winer Blomquist

Mr. Blomquist entered the Army December 2, 1942, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at Entry: Hibbing, Minnesota.

He served as a Private First Class and railway mechanic with 728th Railway Operating Battalion in Normandy, Northern France, and Central Europe.

Awarded: Meritorious Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, European-African-middle Eastern Campaign medal with three bronze battles stars, World War II Victory Medal, and three overseas service bars.

Honorably discharged November 27, 1945, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
