William Zorichak

William Zorichak was an Army chaplain from 1943 to 1947, during World War II.
He also served from 1949 until retiring in 1973 as a Colonel having been in the Korean War and Vietnam War. Once retired, Father Zorichak served the parishes of Kerrick, Eveleth, Duluth and Crosby.
Father was ordained June 3, 1939, at the former Sacred Heart Cathedral in Duluth by Bishop Thomas Welch.
He was born in Mokuah, Wisconsin, on January 9, 1912, the son to John and Magdaline (Neupauer) Zorichak. He was a graduate of Stowe Elementary, Duluth Christian Brothers High School, Nazareth Hall College of St. Paul and St. John’s College and Seminary of Collegeville, Minnesota.
He died at the age 89 in Duluth, Minnesota, on June 5, 2001.
