William R. Thomas

William R. Thomas entered the Army on August 19, 1942, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Virginia, Minnesota.

Mr. Thomas served as a Sergeant and auto equipment operator with Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron at the Ninth Air Base Depot in Rome, Italy.

He was awarded the following: Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with one bronze battle star, World War II Victory Medal, and one overseas service bar.

Mr. Thomas was honorably discharged on March 12, 1946, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
