William R. Kron

He served as a Corporal and medic with the 294th medical Detachment in Rhineland, Ardennes, and Central Europe.
Attended basic training at Camp Grant, Illinois. After basic, he was responsible for the proper basic medical military training of inductees.
Supervised close order drills, calisthenics, marches, tent pitching and medical trills, the setting up of field hospitals and caring for patients. When in Europe, performed the duties of a supply sergeant and medical non-commissioned officer.
Mr. Kron was awarded the: Good Conduct Medal and European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with three bronze service stars.
He was honorably discharged on October 11, 1945, at Chickasha, Oklahoma.
