William R. Folman

William R. Folman of Virginia, Minnesota was inducted into the Army on September 15, 1944 at Fort Snelling, Minn.
He served as a Private, field lineman and infantryman with the 3119th Signal Service Battalion on Luzon, Philippines and with occupation forces in Japan.
Mr. Folman was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with one bronze battle star, Army of Occupation Service Medal (Japan), Philippine Liberation Medal with one bronze service star, World War II Victory Medal and two overseas service bars.
He was honorably discharged on November 22, 1946 at Fort Sheridan, Ill.
