William R. Anderson
Mr. Anderson enlisted in the Army Air Corps October 30, 2942, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Hibbing, Minnesota.
He served as a Sergeant and an airplane and engine mechanic with Headquarters of the 441st Troop Carrier Group in England and Germany.
He was awarded the following: Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, and four overseas service bars. He received commendation for helping overhaul aircraft engines at a Strategic Air Force base in Europe.
Mr. Anderson was honorably discharged February 13, 1946, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
