William M. Hervi was inducted into the Army September 17, 1942, Fort Snelling, Minnesota.
He served as a Private First Class and message center clerk with Company B of the 369th Engineers in Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland, and Central Europe.
Mr. Hervi was awarded the Presidential Unit Citation, Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with one silver battle star (for five bronze stars), World War II Victory Medal and four overseas service bars.
He was honorably discharged November 20, 1945 at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
