William Jula of Chisholm, Minnesota enlisted in the Navy on June 22, 1942 at Minneapolis, Minn.
He was a Yeoman 1st Class aboard the USS LST 127 and saw action in Kwajelein and Eniwetok in the Marshall Islands; Saipan and Tinian in the Marianas; at Pelelui and in the Philippines.
Mr. Jula was awarded the: Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with four bronze battle stars, Philippine Liberation Medal with one bronze star, American Campaign Medal and the World War II Victory Medal.
He was honorably discharged on March 22, 1948 at San Francisco, Calif.
