William Hoblak entered the Army Air Corps January 30, 1943. Home at entry: Cook, Minn.
He served as a Corporal and aerial photographer on B-24 Liberator bombers. He operated photo equipment from aircraft for the purpose of determining bombing effects, location and nature of enemy installations, troop movements, and/or mapping.
Mr. Hoblak was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal with two oak leaf clusters and World War II Victory Medal.
He was honorably discharged December 7, 1945 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
