William "Bill" C. Chapman

Mr. Chapman served in World War II.
He joined the Minnesota National Guard in summer 1940. His unit was later activated. During World War II, he served in the 125th Field Artillery, part of the 34th (“Red Bull”) Division.
He was born on May 12, 1921, in Ely, Minnesota, the son of William J. and Jenny (Sandberg) Chapman. He graduated from Eveleth High School.
Mr. Chapman died at age 87 in Eveleth, Minnesota, on June 18, 2008.
