KWAM, William Axel
William Axel Kwam was born on May 10th 1921 to Sivert Axelsen & Louise Johanne [Haakonsdatter] Kwam in Duluth, Minnesota.
Mr. Kwam enlisted in the US Army on February 10th 1941 out of Ft. Riley, Kansas. He was assigned to a field artillery unit and performed the role of a warrant officer during World War II.
Mr. Kwam was honorably discharged on June 12th 1945. After the war he returned home and married Mary Jane [Ziminsky] and they started a family.
Mr. Kwam died on April 3rd 2013 at 91 years of age. He was buried at Park Hill Cemetery in Duluth, Minnesota.
