Will E. Filander

Will E. Filander of Mountain Iron, Minn. was inducted into the Army Air Corps on Sept. 20, 1943 at Fort Snelling, Minn.

He served as a Corporal and dispatcher with the 1521st Air Force Base Unit  of the Air Transport Command in the Pacific Div..

Mr. Filander was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal and three overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged on March 7, 1946 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
