Wilho J. Jarvinen of Gilbert, Minnesota was inducted into the Army Air Corps on June 10, 1943 at Fort Snelling, Minn.
He served as a Corporal and airplane armorer with the 446th Bomb Squadron Group in Rome-Arno, North Apennines, the Po Valley of Italy, and in Southern France.
Mr. Jarvinen received the: Good Conduct Medal, Distinguished Unit Citation, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal with four bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal, and three overseas service bars.
He was honorably discharged on November 7, 1945 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
