Wayne Robert Hasforth

Wayne Robert Hasforth enlisted in the army in 1943 and served in the 288th Field Artillery Observation Battalion and reached the rank of Technician Fifth Grade.
He was assigned to Headquarters Battery and the Meteorology section. His primary job was to send temperature, wind speed and azimuths at different altitudes to corps headquarters to use with heavy artillery.
He was involved in the Battle of the Bulge, Rhineland, and Central European theater.
He was discharged in March of 1946.
