Warren Walter Johnson served during World War II enlisting in the U.S. Navy in 1943.
He served as a Pharmacist Mate aboard the USS Samaritan. This ship transported and cared for soldiers wounded in the South Pacific.
He was discharged in 1946 and returned to Duluth, Minnesota.
Mr. Johnson was born on September 28, 1924, the son of Walter and Helen Johnson, in Proctor, Minnesota. He graduated from Virginia High School in 1943.
Mr. Johnson died on November 19, 2007, at age 83 in Duluth, Minnesota.
