HIGH, Warren Leslie

Warren Leslie High was born on April 22nd 1920 to Leslie G. & Adele [Reiber] High in Duluth, Minnesota,

Mr. High served in the U.S. Army from December 23rd 1942, until November 27th 1945 during World War II.

He served as a radio operator and repairman assigned to the 818th Signal Port Service Company, 7th Port, 92nd Chemical Mortar Battalion. He rose to the rank of Technician 5th Grade (TEC5).

TEC5 High earned the following merits for his service:

  • Good Conduct Medal,
  • European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal with 1 bronze battle star,
  • American Campaign Medal, -and-
  • the World War II Victory Medal.

 

After the war he returned home. He was an active member of the Veterans Memorial Hall Advisory Committee.

Mr. High died on December 14th 2022 at 101 years of age.
