Walter T. Aro
Mr. Aro entered the Army on July 30, 1942, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota.
He served as a Private First Class, auto body repairman, with the 868th Ordnance Heavy Maintenance Company. He served in Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland and Central Europe.
He received the following: American Campaign Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal with five bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal and three overseas service bars.
Mr. Aro was honorably discharged on November 15, 1945, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
