Walter R. Peterson

Walter R. Peterson of Virginia, Minnesota was inducted into the Army on Aug. 19, 1942.

He was a Sergeant and a construction foreman with Company B, 2829th Engineer (C) Battalion, serving in Sicily, Naples-Foggia and Rome-Arno in the Italian campaign and in southern France, the Rhineland and Central Europe. H

Mr. Peterson received the: Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Service Medal with six bronze battle stars and Bronze Arrowhead, World War II Victory Medal and four overseassService bars.

He was discharged on Oct. 1, 1945.
