Walter Maki of Eveleth, Minnesota was inducted into the Army on Nov. 23, 1942.
He was a Technical Sergeant with the Headquarters and Service Company, 120th Engineer Combat Battalion in Rhineland and Central Europe.
Mr. Maki was awarded the: Bronze Star, Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal with two bronze battle stars, American Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal and one overseas service bar.
He was honorably discharged on Nov. 12, 1945 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
