Walter John Gothard entered the Naval Reserve May 10, 1944.

He served as a Seaman 1st Class at a Naval Air Base in the Pacific Theater.

Mr. Gothard was awarded the American Campaign Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal and World War II Victory Medal. 

He was honorably discharged January 27, 1946, Great Lakes, Ill.
