Walter F. Donahue Sr. served in World War II in the U.S. Army Air Forces.

He was born in Duluth, Minnesota, on June 22, 1918, the son of George and Margaret (Morisette) Donahue. He graduated from Duluth Denfeld High School in 1940.

Mr. Donahue died at age 90 in Duluth on September 26, 2008.
