HALBERG, Walter E.
Walter E. Halberg of Aurora, Minnesota was inducted into the Army on April 30th 1942 at Fort Snelling, Minn.
He served with the 3949th Quartermaster Truck Battalion in the European and Pacific Theaters. He rose to the rank of Corporal (CPL).
CPL Halberg earned the following merits for his service:
- Army Good Conduct Medal,
- European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal,
- Asiatic-Pacific Campaign, -and-
- Medal World War II Victory Medal.
He was honorably discharged November 12th 1945 at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
