Walter E. Finnila of Cook, Minn was inducted into the Army on Aug. 26, 1942 at Fort Snelling, Minn.

 He served as a Private First Class and hospital orderly with the Medical Section of the 1967th Service Command Unit in the continental United States.

Mr. Finnila was awarded the Good Conduct Medal.

He was honorably discharged on Aug. 12, 1945 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
