Walter D. Torma

Walter D. Torma was inducted into the Army on October 9, 1944, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Gilbert, Minnesota.

Mr. Torma served as a Private First Class and rifleman with Company M of the 156th Infantry Regiment in Rhineland and Central Europe.

He was awarded the following: Bronze Star Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with two bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal, and one overseas service bar.

Mr. Torma was honorably discharged on March 16, 1946, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
