Wallace E. Juntti of Eveleth was inducted into the Army on May 29, 1943 at Fort Snelling, Minn.
He received training at Fort Leonard Wood in Missouri. He also attended automotive school at Fort Crook Ordnance School in Nebraska. He was a Technician 4th Grade with the 1304th Engineer Construction Battalion in the China-Burma-India Theater.
Mr. Juntti received the: Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, American Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal and three overseas service bars.
He was honorably discharged on January 10, 1946 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
