Walfred Victor Maki of Chisholm, Minnesota was inducted into the Naval Reserve on June 9, 1943.
He was a Quartermaster 2nd Class aboard the USS Pathfinder (AGS 1), USS PCS 1396 and USS Dutton (AGS 8) in the Pacific Theater, participated in the assault on Iwo Jima in February, 1945.
He was honorably discharged on March 28, 1946 at Minneapolis, Minn.
