Walfred Koski

Walfred Koski was inducted into the Army on September 11, 1941, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Iron, Minnesota.

He served as a Corporal with Company D of the 163rd Infantry Regiment in New Guinea and Southern Philippines.

Mr. Koski was awarded the: Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Good Conduct Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, American Defense Service Medal, American Campaign Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with three bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal and seven overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged on October 7, 1945, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
