Walford A. Peterson

Walford A. Peterson of Biwabik, Minnesota was inducted into the Navy on Dec. 20, 1943.

He was a Fireman 1st Class aboard the USS Alvin C. Cockrell (DE 366) in the Pacific Theater.

Mr. Peterson was awarded the: Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Service Medal, American Campaign Service Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal.

He was discharged on Dec. 10, 1945.
