Vincent Paul Repesh was born on Decmeber 3rd 1917 to Anton & Frances [Strgar] Repesh in Chisholm, Minnesota.
Mr. Repesh registered for military service on July 21st 1942. He was inducted in the U.S. Army on August 3rd 1942 at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Chisholm, Minnesota.
He served with the 410th Quartermaster Depot Company in the Western Pacific campaign. He rose to the rank of a Master Sergeant (MSGT).
SGT Repesh earned the following merits for his service:
- Good Conduct Medal,
- American Campaign Medal,
- Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with 1 bronze battle star,
- World War II Victory Medal, -and-
- two overseas service bars .
He was honorably discharged on December 16th 1945, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.After the war, he returned home and married Gazella.
Mr. Repesh died on October 28th 1966 at 48 years of age. He is buried at Calvary Cemetery in Chisholm.
