Victor E. Kailanen

Victor E. Kailanen of Mountain Iron, Minnesota was inducted into the Army on December 12, 1942 at Fort Snelling, Minn.

He served as an auto mechanic with the 51st Port TC in the European Theater.

He received the: Good Conduct Medal, Meritorious Unit Citation, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal, American Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal, and two overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged on April 15, 1946 at Fort Sheridan, Illinois.
