Mr. Carlson of Virginia, Minnesota was inducted into the Army on November 15, 1943.
He served as a Technician 5th Grade and a light truck driver with the 171st Evacuation Hospital, in Rhineland.
He received the following awards: Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Service Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Service Medal with one bronze battle star, Army of Occupation Service Medal (Germany), World War II Victory Medal and one overseas service bar.
Mr. Carlson was honorably discharged on April 30, 1946.
