Vern T. Nichols

Vern T. Nichols entered into the Army in September 9, 1944, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota.

He served as a Private First Class and scout with Headquarters Company of the Second Battalion of the 15th Infantry Regiment in Rhineland, and Central Europe.

Mr. Nichols was awarded the following: Bronze Star Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with two bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal, and Army of Occupation Medal (Germany).

Mr. Nichols was honorably discharged on November 18, 1946, at Camp Campbell, Kentucky.
