Venner E. Anderson

Mr. Anderson entered the Army on September 8, 1942, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Chisholm, Minnesota.

He served as a Private First Class with Headquarters Company of the 644th Tank Destroyer Battalion in the Aleutian Islands, Rhineland, Ardennes, and Central Europe.

He was awarded with the following: Good Conduct Medal, Distinguished Unit Badge, American Campaign Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with one bronze battle star, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with three bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal, and three overseas service bars.

Mr. Anderson was honorably discharged on December 13, 1945, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
