Torsti W. Franti

Torsti W. Franti of Ely, Minnesota was inducted into the Army Air Corps on July 24, 1942 at Fort Snelling, Minn.

He served as a Corporal and an airplane and engine mechanic with the 2112 Service Unit Aviation in the Panama Canal Zone and continental United States.

Mr. Franti was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal and five overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged on Nov.25, 1945 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
