Tony J. Malevich of Eveleth was inducted into the Army on Sept. 20, 1943.
He was a Technician 5th Grade and a truck driver with Company C, 24th Armored Engineer Battalion, 4th Armored Division in Central Europe.
He was awarded the: Combat Infantryman Badge, Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal with a bronze battle star, World War II Victory Medal and two overseas service bars.
He was discharged on March 31, 1946 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
