Toivo Lampi of Iron was inducted into the Army on August 26, 1942 at Fort Snelling, Minn.

He was a Technician 5th Grade and an auto mechanic with the 472nd Quartermaster Truck Battalion.

Mr. Lampi received the: Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, American Campaign Medal and World War II Victory Medal.

He was honorably discharged on February 11, 1946 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
