Thomas R. Hans

Thomas R. Hans entered the Marine Corps on January 22, 1944, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Home at entry: Duluth, Minnesota.

He served as a Private and machine gun crewman in the infantry in Iwo Jima, Volcano Islands. Wounded in action on February 25, 1945, during the battle of Iwo Jima.

He was awarded the Purple Heart and Good Conduct Medal.

Mr. Hans was honorably discharged on March 14, 1946, at Great Lakes, Illinois.
