KENNEDY, Thomas Patrick
Thomas Patrick Kennedy was born on June 21st 1914 to Thomas Patrick Sr. & Stella [Allard] Kennedy in Hibbing, Minnesota.
Mr. Kennedy was inducted into the Army on September 11th 1941 at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home of entry: Hibbing, Minnesota.
He served as a construction foreman with the 18th Engineer Battalion in the Aleutian Islands in Alaska. He rose to the rank of Sergeant (SGT).
SGT Kennedy was awarded the following medals for his service:
- Good Conduct Medal,
- American Defense Service Medal,
- American Campaign Medal,
- Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with one bronze battle star,
- World War II Victory Medal, -and-
- seven overseas service bars.
He was honorably discharged on October 12th 1945 at Camp Haan, California. After the war he returned home and married Delores Kl
Mr. Kennedy died on January 8th 1994 at the age of 81 years. He is buried at the Minnesota Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Little Falls, Minnesota.
