Thomas F. Volney

Thomas F. Volney was inducted into the Army on January 14, 1942, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Virginia, Minnesota.

He served as a Private First Class and clerk typist with the 302nd Port Company of the Transportation Corps in Normandy, Northern France.

He was awarded the: Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with two bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal, and six overseas bars.

Mr. Volney was honorably discharged on November 17, 1945, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
