Theodore J. Kontola of Chisholm, Minnesota enlisted in the Army on March 1, 1942 at Fort Snelling, Minn. 

He was a Corporal with the Headquarters Battery, 1st Battalion, 125th Field Artillery in the United States.

Mr. Kontola received the: Good Conduct Medal, American Defense Service Medal, American Campaign Medal and World War II Victory Medal.

He was honorably discharged on December 12, 1945 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
