Theodore August Geske was born on July 11th 1912 to Gustave Edward & Martha E [Ludtke] Geske in Superior, Wisconsin
Mr. Geske entered the U.S. Army April 24th 1942. Just before he enlisted he married Gladys Irene [Harthan] on August 8th in Thurston, Washington.
He was assigned to Company C, 743rd Tank Battalion during World War II. He rose to the rank of Sergeant (SGT).
SGT Geske was killed in action during the Normandy invasion on July 8th 1944. He was KIA as his unit drove towards Saint-Lô, France at the age of 31 years.
He was buried at Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial in Colleville-sur-Mer, France.
SGT Geske was posthumously awarded the Purple Heart.
