Tauno Wantonen

Tauno Wantonen was inducted into the Army on March 10, 1942, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Biwabik, Minnesota.

Mr. Wantonen served as a Private First Class and machine gunner with Battery D of the 750th Antiaircraft Artillery Gun Battalion in the Pacific Theater.

He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, and World War II Victory Medal.

Mr. Wantonen was honorably discharged on October 16, 1945, at Fort Custer, Michigan.
