Tauno A. Lahtela

Tauno A. Lahtela was inducted into the Army Air Corps on October 26, 1942, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Hibbing, Minnesota.

He served as a Sergeant, air crew member, and airplane and engine mechanic with the 463rd Air Service Group in Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland, and Central Europe.

Mr. Lahtela received the: Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with four bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal and four oversea service bars.

He was honorably discharged on March 6, 1946, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
