Steve Chicka was born on September 4th 1921 to George & Staka [Varicak] Chicka in Hibbing, Minnesota.
Mr. Chicka entered the Army Air Corps in November 1942 during WWII.
He was a ground crew supply sergeant at Selman Field in Monroe, Louisiana and at the Air Training Command in Fort Worth, Texas. He rose to the rank of Staff Sergeant (SSGT).
He was separated on February 6th 1946. After the war he returned home and married Merle J. in 1945 and they started a family.
Mr. Chicka died on June 19th 2015 at 93 years of age. He is buried at Good Hope Cemetery in Greenfield, Wisconsin.
