Stephen T. Yapuncich

Stephen T. Yapuncich was inducted into the Army Air Corps on April 29, 1942, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Biwabik, Minnesota.

He served as a Technical Sergeant and radio operator with the 459th Bomb Group of the 759th Bomb Squadron in North Apennines and Po Valley, Italy.

He was awarded the Air Medal with three oak leaf clusters, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with two bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal, and one overseas service bar.

Mr. Yapuncich was honorably discharged on October 23, 1945, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
