Stephen A. Huszak was inducted into the Army March 29, 1942, Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Hibbing, Minnesota.
He served as a Technical Sergeant and rifleman with Company C of the 357th Infantry Regiment and 90th Infantry Division in Normandy Northern France, Ardennes, and Rhineland. He was wounded in action on three different occasions, in France on July 7, 1944; Luxembourg on January 9, 1945; and Germany on March 15, 1945.
Mr. Huszak was awarded the Bronze Star Medal, Purple Heart with two oak leaf clusters, Good Conduct Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, American Campaign Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with four bronze battle stars and World War II Victory Medal.
He received a disability discharge on February 12, 1948, at Percy Jones General and Convalescent Hospital, Battle Creek, Michigan.
