Stanley John Novak was inducted into the Army on Apr. 30, 1943.
He was a Private with Company B, 36th Engineers in the Anzio campaign and Italy. He was wounded in action in Anzio on Jan. 23, 1944.
Mr. Novak was awarded the Purple Heart, European-African-Middle East Campaign Service Medal with 1 bronze battle star, and the World War II Victory Medal.
He was discharged Sept. 29, 1945.
