Stanley Joseph Bezek

Mr. Bezek entered the Navy April 1, 1942. Home at entry: Biwabik, Minnesota.

He served as an Aviation Machinist's Mate First Class and an in-flight mechanic on PB-4-Y aircraft in continental U.S. shore stations, in Fleet Air Wing 14, Bombing Squadron 115, and aboard the seaplane tenders USS Floyds Bay (AVP 40) and USS Suison (AVP53). Also served in Okinawa and Nagasaki, Japan.

Honorably discharged December 25, 1945, Minneapois, Minnesota.

Mr. Bezek served in World War II in the Pacific Theater. He entered the Navy on April 1, 1942.

Mr. Bezek was born on May 14, 1919, in Pineville Location, Minnesota, the son of Slovenian immigrants Valentine and Anna (Ursic) Bezek. Mr. Bezek graduated from Biwabik High School (Minnesota) in 1936. Mr. Bezek died on December 4, 2007, in Virginia, Minnesota.
